Role Overview

This position entails managing all phases of large-scale civil construction projects, from initial planning through to project closeout. The role involves developing comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans while overseeing site activities to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards. Close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients is essential to deliver projects that meet scope, budgetary, and timeline objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil construction projects end-to-end, ensuring seamless execution from initiation to completion.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with project goals.
  • Lead coordination among engineers, consultants, contractors, and site supervisors to achieve project milestones.
  • Monitor progress against timelines and deliverables, adjusting plans as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Plan procurement activities, evaluate vendors, and manage materials to optimize costs.
  • Handle contract administration, including review of variations, claims, and billing in partnership with quantity surveyors and commercial teams.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, environmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify workmanship and conformity to approved designs.
  • Identify risks and implement effective mitigation and contingency measures.
  • Maintain continuous communication with clients, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders to align expectations and resolve issues.
  • Guarantee that civil works adhere strictly to approved drawings and industry best practices.
  • Support project closure activities including documentation, handover, and final settlements.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
  • Have 5 to 8+ years of relevant construction management experience.
  • Demonstrated involvement in delivering 4 to 6 institutional, university, residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects end-to-end.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in Project Management Consultancy firms.
  • Technical knowledge spanning civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural disciplines.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to motivate teams.
  • High attention to detail and excellent observation capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
