Job description
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Project Scheduler with a strong background in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industries. This role involves managing detailed schedules, resource planning, and reporting for multiple complex technical projects in a hybrid Cork-based setting under a 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and continuously refine comprehensive project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project for numerous technical initiatives.
- Coordinate project timelines, including milestones, dependencies, and deliverables throughout all project phases.
- Assist Project Leads and Managers with detailed planning, progress monitoring, and schedule controls.
- Conduct resource loading, anticipate demand, and plan headcount for project portfolios effectively.
- Produce detailed scheduling reports such as Actual vs Planned comparisons, S-curves, and compliance tracking.
- Manage change requests affecting schedules, maintain risk registers, and provide impact analyses.
- Facilitate project governance procedures, communicate stakeholder updates, and prepare status reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing schedules for technical or operational project portfolios, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, or technical sectors.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Project and essential expertise using Planview scheduling software.
- Deep knowledge of resource capacity assessment, forecasting, and workload evaluation.
- Proven capability to handle complex dependencies, scheduling challenges, and reporting obligations.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience generating milestone and governance reports.
- PMP Certification is mandatory; hands-on Planview experience is strongly preferred.
