Project Manager - Carbon Removal, Direct Air Capture, Clean Energy, and Sustainability

About the Role

Join a leading, mission-oriented climate organization headquartered in Berlin focused on pioneering carbon reduction and renewable energy initiatives globally. As their international project portfolio expands, this role offers the opportunity to lead technically demanding climate protection projects from initial concept through to successful implementation, contributing significantly to worldwide decarbonisation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and execution of international projects aimed at climate protection.
• Oversee construction operations and ensure the timely technical delivery of projects while managing budgets, timelines, and objectives.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with global project collaborators.
• Guarantee adherence to carbon certification standards such as Gold Standard, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), or similar recognized protocols.
• Undertake international travel, typically one to two times annually, to facilitate project implementation, foster local collaborations, and monitor progress.
• Serve as the primary liaison for key clients associated with assigned projects.
• Assist in preparing and supporting commercial tenders and work closely with sales and commercial departments.
• Create technical presentations and actively engage stakeholders and customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

• A degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Natural Sciences, or an allied technical field.
• Extensive project management experience with a robust technical and practical emphasis.
• A proactive, hands-on disposition demonstrating strong ownership, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities.
