Project Management Officer - Process & Transformation or Delivery

Position Overview

We are seeking two Project Management Officers to join a dynamic commercial team within a large Irish organization. One role will focus on process and transformation, while the other will concentrate on delivery. This is a unique opportunity where the PMO function is yet to be established, offering you the chance to shape and build the framework from the ground up across four emerging commercial businesses operating with considerable autonomy.

Role One – Process & Transformation

• Create and implement PMO structures, processes, and governance across four businesses starting from scratch.
• Manage the monthly operational cadence including KPI reporting, management and board level reporting, risk registers, and control matrices.
• Facilitate cross-business workshops and collaborative sessions involving stakeholders who do not report directly to you.
• Lead change initiatives, including process mapping and the assessment of new tools and technologies to improve efficiency.

Role Two – Delivery

• Develop and manage project controls, stage gates, and delivery assurance mechanisms throughout the portfolio.
• Organize and chair Project Boards, and ensure delivery managers adhere to processes.
• Monitor portfolio performance, reporting on progress, risks, and issues.
• Establish and refine the delivery framework to support business scaling efforts.

Candidate Profile

• A mid- to senior-level professional who proactively drives initiatives forward and maintains follow-up when timelines slip.
• Excellent at stakeholder management, capable of influencing and coordinating with people outside direct reporting lines.
• Strong curiosity about operational workflows and a keen interest in evaluating and implementing new technologies.
• Qualifications in engineering, business, or project management are required alongside proficiency with Microsoft tools.
• Neither role includes direct reports.
• Candidates must be based in Dublin and work onsite two days per week; both roles are permanent positions.

Additional Information

• Consultancy experience is welcomed for the Process & Transformation role.
• PMO background is preferred for the Delivery role; strong project management experience is an alternative.
• Experience in main contracting or construction delivery environments is advantageous for the Delivery role.
• Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP are desirable for the Delivery role.
• A valid driving license is essential for the Delivery position.
