About the Role
We are seeking a Project Estimator specializing in commercial construction within general contracting and construction management at-risk (GC/CM). This role offers an opportunity to be part of a well-regarded, expanding regional firm known for delivering projects across commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, and government sectors. The company provides comprehensive services including preconstruction, design-build, and delivery phases.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire estimating process from material takeoff through final bid submission and handoff.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial projects with practical, real-world data.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients as part of a tightly integrated team.
- Engage in preconstruction activities such as value engineering and negotiated contracts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years experience estimating commercial construction projects within a GC or CM environment.
- Proficient in digital takeoff and bidding tools such as Bluebeam, OST, PlanSwift, or similar software.
- Capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines.
- Exposure to design-build or construction management at-risk project delivery methods is an advantage.
