Role Overview
We have immediate full-time, permanent openings for Janitorial Project Crew Members. This role involves working in fast-paced environments to support workplace safety and cleanliness. Shift schedules vary, including days, nights, weekends, and potentially overnight with multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain hard surface floors through sanitizing, scrubbing, stripping, and finishing.
- Scrub and burnish specialized floor types like gymnasium flooring.
- Steam clean and shampoo carpets, including extraction with carpet machines.
- Wash windows and clean glass partitions and mirrors using appropriate methods and tools.
- Perform pressure washing of floors and building exterior surfaces.
- Conduct minor wall repairs and furniture polishing.
- Collect and dispose of trash, service restrooms, and replenish supplies.
- Dust furniture, walls, machinery, and equipment regularly.
- Notify management of any major repair needs or additions required for building systems.
- Request cleaning supplies and necessary equipment.
- Provide backup support for other crew members in the territory as needed.
- Drive extensively, potentially covering a radius of four to five states, with occasional overnight shifts.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in building or warehouse cleaning and maintenance.
- Understanding of floor care techniques across various flooring materials including vinyl, tile, carpet, concrete, and hardwood.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to multiple work sites.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights, days, and weekends.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and chemical safety documents, typically in English.
