Job description

Role Overview

We are recruiting for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of specialist projects across the UK. Based in Leicester (LE2), this full-time permanent position suits someone who is exceptionally organised, comfortable managing several priorities at once, and confident working in a busy, fast-moving environment.

The business is a well-established and expanding specialist organisation recognised for high standards of workmanship, close attention to detail, and strong customer care. Its portfolio covers commercial, retail, hospitality, residential, and luxury developments.

This position is central to project delivery. You will coordinate materials, suppliers, production planning, logistics, installers, and client communication to help ensure each project progresses smoothly from handover through to completion. The role offers real responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a visible contribution to the company’s continued growth.

What the Role Involves

Day to day, the role combines planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving. No two days are expected to look the same: one part of the day may focus on procurement and material arrangements, while another may involve scheduling installations, handling supplier issues, or updating clients on progress.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee several live projects at the same time from commencement through to final installation.
  • Plan and manage project timelines, priorities, and delivery milestones.
  • Act as a key contact for clients, suppliers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Arrange procurement activity, raise purchase orders, and monitor material deliveries.
  • Coordinate production planning, transport arrangements, and installation activity.
  • Support pricing, invoicing, and budget monitoring tasks.
  • Keep project documentation, records, and reports accurate and up to date.
  • Spot risks or issues early and take action to prevent delays to delivery.

Candidate Profile

The ideal person will take ownership naturally, work well under pressure, and be comfortable turning plans into action. Experience in project coordination, operations, scheduling, procurement, logistics, construction, interiors, manufacturing, or another fast-paced environment would be relevant.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong organisational ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence in coordinating people and following through on actions.
  • Professional communication skills when dealing with clients and suppliers.
  • The ability to remain composed under pressure and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive, practical, and solution-oriented approach.
  • An interest in improving processes and working methods.

Desirable Experience

  • Background in construction, interiors, fit-out, joinery, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with logistics, scheduling, or production planning.
  • Exposure to project management tools such as Asana or similar systems.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of £40,000 to £45,000, with flexibility for the right candidate.
  • Permanent full-time employment.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Complimentary on-site parking.
  • Staff canteen facilities.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunity to develop within a growing business.
  • A varied workload involving projects across the UK.
