Job description
Overview
The University of Cape Coast invites qualified candidates to join the Institute for Oil and Gas Studies within the Faculty of Social Sciences, College of Humanities and Legal Studies. Available specializations include Energy/Petroleum Economics, Petroleum/Natural Gas Engineering, Petroleum Commerce, and Natural Resource Law and Governance.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Candidates must meet the academic qualifications required for the rank of Associate Professor.
- A PhD in the relevant field of specialization is mandatory.
- Applicants should provide evidence of research or professional achievements.
- At least six years of experience teaching as an Associate Professor or equivalent teaching/research experience at a university or similar institution is required.
- Candidates must have at least eight refereed publications in their specialization since their last Associate Professor appointment or a total of twenty refereed publications since being appointed as Senior Lecturer. All publications must be approved by external assessors.
Appointment and Commitment
The professorial appointment will be on a tenure basis.
