Job description

Role Overview

The University of Cape Coast is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and performance-driven professional to lead its University Printing Press. The role is suited to someone who can oversee production operations, maintain quality standards, and ensure that print output is delivered efficiently and on schedule.

Core Duties

  • Develop and oversee print production timelines to keep work flowing smoothly.
  • Check materials, finished outputs, and machinery for faults, wear, or other defects.
  • Estimate labour, equipment, and production needs using standard calculation methods.
  • Lead and coordinate staff, production activities, and quality control efforts.
  • Organize the production sequence so targets are met within required timelines.
  • Carry out routine upkeep and maintenance of printing machinery and equipment.

Appointment Term

This is a full-time appointment offered for an initial four-year period, with the possibility of renewal for an additional term.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Publishing Studies or a closely related discipline, along with an M.Phil in Publishing Studies. Candidates should also bring at least four years of post-qualification experience within the printing or publishing sector.
