Role Responsibilities
You will be entrusted with managing a caseload of professional indemnity claims and carrying out detailed case evaluations under supervision, enabling you to gain expertise in a technical legal realm.
- Handle professional indemnity claims with appropriate oversight.
- Analyze new cases concerning liability, coverage, quantum, and legal strategy.
- Participate in complex, high-value litigation involving multiple professional categories.
- Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, reports, and relevant documents.
- Conduct legal research and assist with case planning.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, insured professionals, brokers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Support senior solicitors in negotiations, settlements, litigation procedures, and dispute resolution.
Candidate Profile
- Relevant experience in professional indemnity, insurance litigation, claims handling, personal injury, civil litigation, or other contentious law sectors.
- Background working within law firms, insurance companies, legal service providers, or claims functions.
- Strong written communication and professional client interaction skills.
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with a genuine interest in litigation and insurance matters.
- Experience in debt recovery, commercial litigation, property disputes, or general civil litigation is also valued.
