Job Location and Work Model

This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, Washington D.C., or New York City. The role follows a hybrid work format, combining remote work with in-office days determined by business demands to maintain culture, connection, and clarity.

Role Overview

You will be an essential part of a dynamic, collaborative, and engaging commercial legal team dedicated to LinkedIn's mission to empower professionals globally. Your focus will be on tackling unique legal and commercial challenges faced by a fast-evolving, innovative company. Working chiefly with marketing teams, you will handle negotiation of revenue-generating advertising agreements and incentive arrangements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare, analyze, and negotiate various advertising sales contracts including insertion orders, media agreements, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and NDAs for the Marketing Solutions team.
  • Lead negotiation discussions directly with clients to reach mutually agreeable terms.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as Deal Desk, Sales, Finance, and Product teams to secure approvals and resolve escalations ensuring transactions align with corporate standards.
  • Support the marketing sales teams throughout sales cycles to expedite deal closures efficiently.
  • Initiate and manage projects aimed at streamlining contract negotiation and administration processes to enhance scalability and business outcomes.
  • Provide legal assistance to senior attorneys when necessary.

Basic Qualifications

  • Holds a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Possesses at least 3 years of legal practice experience, with minimum 2 years specializing in online or digital advertising (Ad-Tech) contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with negotiating IAB standard terms and conditions.
  • Proven ability to concurrently manage diverse deals and engage various stakeholders under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships across functions and hierarchies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global data privacy and security regulations.
  • Exemplifies excellent client service and sound business judgment, escalating critical matters as needed.
  • Maintains a positive, can-do attitude paired with a good sense of humor.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $123,000 to $200,000 per year, with final compensation based on individual qualifications, experience, certifications, and office location. Additional elements may include annual performance bonuses, stock options, benefits, and other incentive programs.
