Role Overview

This role involves leading key projects such as profit and loss forecasting, constructing analytical and financial frameworks for better decision-making, and delivering performance insights to management, the Board, and employees. The ideal candidate excels in analytical and strategic thinking and can fluidly move between detailed analysis and broad strategic perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance Plaid's financial models, including analytical frameworks that guide the company's growth strategy.
• Collaborate with business units to build and oversee department budgets, facilitating effective capital allocation and profitability.
• Analyze growth and investment avenues by assessing market size, revenue potential, unit economics, and associated costs.
• Partner with leadership teams to develop analytical tools that optimize decision-making processes.
• Optimize financial KPIs and establish dashboards to inform executives and improve transparency within the organization.
• Prepare and present performance materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead special initiatives to strengthen the company’s financial health through cross-functional collaboration.
• Benchmark operational and financial metrics against industry peers.
• Contribute to recruiting top talent for the Strategic Finance team.

Candidate Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, strategic finance, financial planning & analysis, or consulting.
• A strong enthusiasm for financial services innovation and ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly growing environment.
• Exceptional skills in analysis, financial modeling, problem-solving, and communication.
• Adept at collaborating across functions and simplifying complex issues into actionable frameworks.
• Demonstrated ownership and desire to make meaningful impacts.
• Familiarity with SQL or strong willingness to learn the language.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $148,000 annually. Additional compensation may include equity and/or commissions depending on role specifics. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans. Salary and benefits are subject to periodic adjustments based on factors such as role scope, experience, skills, and location.
