Through its work in Innovative Medicine and MedTech, it aims to advance healthcare solutions and deliver meaningful breakthroughs for humanity.

The organization also emphasizes an inclusive workplace guided by its Credo, where every employee is valued as an individual and treated with dignity and respect.

Role Overview

This opening is for a Product Specialist - Hematology based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role sits within Pharmaceutical Sales under the Sales – Oncology/Hematology (Commission) function and is classified as a professional-level position.

The core purpose of the role is to represent the company to healthcare professionals and ensure products are promoted appropriately, within their approved indications and in line with J&J Credo responsibilities. The position supports broader product access efforts by communicating product value in a way that helps more eligible patients benefit from treatment.

Key Responsibilities

The Product Specialist is expected to drive patient share for assigned products by understanding the patient journey, improving sales performance, and following all compliance requirements, quality standards, and local regulations.

Success in the role involves reaching healthcare professionals through a multichannel approach such as face-to-face meetings, email, phone calls, and presentations when needed, while maintaining the quality and quantity expected by the CVT strategy and providing strong feedback after each interaction.

The position also includes working toward market share goals in the assigned territory, strengthening the company’s reputation as a scientific and digital innovator, and arranging promotional or scientific meetings.

Another major part of the role is improving access for products through detailed account mapping, understanding logistics, listing procedures, contracting, key stakeholders, and decision-making structures within each account. The specialist will also build and sustain long-term relationships with stakeholders such as pharmacy directors, senior procurement managers, tender managers, and hospital leadership, while identifying short- and long-term business opportunities with support from the Market Access team.

Operational excellence is also required, including meeting Customer Interaction Excellence targets and KPIs within the expected timelines. This covers database updates, accurate visit reporting with meaningful call feedback, proper sample handling, and continuous improvement in the quality of execution.

The role requires ongoing learning about disease areas, products, and competitors through scientific quizzes, assigned training programs, and consistent use of the correct CRM tools as per SOPs.

All work must remain aligned with company policies, procedures, and local regulations, including legal and compliance obligations, pharmacovigilance reporting, quality standards, and fleet safety and traffic rules.

Performance Expectations

The role is measured through self-discipline, strong results orientation, and the ability to demonstrate leadership and the company’s Credo principles.

Technical and Functional Requirements

The specialist should consistently act in line with the Credo and leadership expectations. The role requires strong awareness of territory and account performance, timely escalation of any information that could affect business results, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to identify and act on opportunities using analytical thinking and disciplined execution.

Collaboration is important, as is the ability to contribute effectively within a team. The role also calls for a competitive mindset focused on helping the product achieve leadership position, while always staying within compliance boundaries. Any issues that may affect the company’s image or performance must be reported promptly.

Leadership Behaviours

The position expects the following leadership behaviours: living the Credo by pursuing the highest standards of quality, ethics, and compliance; connecting inclusively by listening to and incorporating diverse perspectives; shaping the future through innovation, experimentation, and learning; and growing oneself and others through open and honest conversations.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
