About the Role
The Product Owner acts as the key strategic technology collaborator for designated business functions, tasked with defining, prioritizing, and executing projects that promote business expansion, transformation, and competitive edge.
This position involves cultivating trusted partnerships with business executives to comprehend strategic goals, pinpoint improvement areas, drive technology initiatives along with change management, and formulate technology roadmaps to advance company objectives. This role is responsible for managing the portfolio of transformation efforts within their domain and works closely with stakeholders and implementation teams to focus investments on the most valuable opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture trusted relationships with executive sponsors and business leaders.
- Gain comprehensive insight into business strategies, procedures, goals, challenges, and growth prospects.
- Facilitate strategic planning meetings and discussions regarding technology roadmaps.
- Manage the portfolio of strategic initiatives in assigned business areas, including intake, evaluation, discovery of new opportunities, and change management.
- Evaluate initiatives based on strategic fit, value, complexity, risk, and readiness within the organization.
- Create and update project plans, timelines, milestones, resource needs, and schedules for projects.
- Develop and maintain long-term business capability roadmaps.
- Define future business capabilities and related technology requirements.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of technology projects from concept through deployment and adoption.
- Collaborate continuously with delivery teams and external partners to ensure alignment and speed execution.
- Design and execute change management strategies to encourage adoption of new technology.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Five or more years of experience in business transformation, product or portfolio management, project management, consulting, or related fields.
- Proven track record managing end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, testing, deployment, and adoption phases.
- Familiarity with the development of strategic roadmaps and investment prioritization.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple departments.
