Job description
About the Organisation
Tourism New Zealand is a destination marketing organisation focused on promoting Aotearoa New Zealand and encouraging people to visit in ways that create value for the country and the place it calls home. Its work is centred on showcasing New Zealand to the world and supporting the wider tourism ecosystem.
Role Overview
This position sits within the New Zealand and Business Events team and is responsible for linking the local tourism sector with Tourism New Zealand’s global marketing work. The role ensures that the right experiences, products and stories are featured across the visitor journey.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will collaborate with tourism operators across New Zealand, industry stakeholders and offshore teams to shape strong product propositions that align with global campaign activity.
Your work will help position New Zealand’s tourism offerings clearly and effectively across both business-to-business and business-to-consumer channels, with the aim of lifting visitor numbers and overall value. You will also look for opportunities for partners to participate in Tourism New Zealand initiatives so the organisation’s marketing reach is strengthened in priority markets.
Part of the job involves supporting the inclusion of Qualmark and VIN Inc in broader marketing activity, along with contributing to trade events and exhibitions in coordination with the Experience New Zealand and offshore teams.
You will also be expected to use AI and new digital tools in a considered and responsible way to improve product marketing, increase efficiency and support insight-driven work.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a seasoned marketer who understands how to run integrated campaigns across both B2B and B2C channels. The right person will bring commercial judgement, strategic awareness, strong stakeholder skills and the ability to turn insights into clear and persuasive product messaging.
You should be confident working with a broad mix of internal teams and external partners, able to spot opportunities, juggle several priorities at once and consistently deliver strong results.
