As the Product Line Manager for Teamsport Footwear, you will assist the Senior Product Line Manager in planning and implementing the worldwide product strategy for a crucial football footwear franchise, fostering its long-term growth and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Help shape and execute the global football footwear product line strategy by translating insights from consumers, athletes, and market data into appealing product ideas.
- Manage the product line over its entire lifecycle — from gathering insights and briefing through to development and global market launch.
- Collaborate closely with teams across design, development, sports marketing, and go-to-market functions to craft innovative football shoe collections that surpass consumer expectations and enhance the brand.
- Ensure product quality and consistency by overseeing line architecture and product data at pivotal points in the management process.
- Monitor trends in the market, analyze consumer behavior, review competitors, and assess business performance to identify future growth opportunities and guide decisions.
- Support global sales efforts by preparing compelling product presentations, sales aids, and storytelling for key meetings and international previews.
- Frequently travel to interact with factories, athletes, retailers, and core markets to collect firsthand insights that influence future product innovation and franchise strategy.
Qualifications and Skills
- Two to four years of experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, Merchandising, or Marketing, preferably within sports goods or footwear sectors.
- A deep passion for football with strong knowledge of the sport, culture, and player requirements.
- Commercially savvy with the ability to integrate consumer insights, innovation, and business potential into successful products.
- Strong analytical capability to interpret market trends, consumer data, and business metrics.
- Effective communication skills including confident presentations and persuasive storytelling, enabling influence across diverse and international teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines within a dynamic, global environment.
- A proactive, curious, and entrepreneurial mindset paired with a practical approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A cooperative team player who enjoys diverse, cross-functional collaboration and turning ideas into tangible results.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- A university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, or a similar field.
