The Dock serves as Accenture’s premier Research & Development and Global Innovation Center, located in Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock. It functions as a hub for incubating next-generation AI and Generative AI solutions, uniting experts including business strategists, designers, engineers, data scientists, and entrepreneurs worldwide.
Our aim is to address some of the globe’s most complex challenges and develop transformative products and services that empower industries to prosper amid unprecedented shifts. Our activities cover the full innovation lifecycle, from initial exploration to live deployment. At The Dock, innovation is bold, collaboration is open, and the future is built in real time.
Position Overview
As the Product Design Lead, you will strategically plan and execute design initiatives throughout projects. This role involves collaborating with sponsors and senior leaders to establish a clear vision and partnering with experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of users, technology, and data interactions. You will be deeply embedded within the product development cycle, focusing on delivering impactful, user-centered digital products that address genuine challenges.
You will shape concepts, strategies, and digital interfaces at the project level, with a strong grasp of service and interaction design. Your designs will need to adapt fluidly across multiple devices to create seamless end-to-end experiences.
Communicating visually is critical; you will craft design artefacts that convey insights for stakeholder ideation and conceptual discussions. Close collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts will ensure the responsible use of emerging technologies in product creation.

- Articulate design ideas through sketches, wireframes, flows, architecture diagrams, polished UI designs, and interactive prototypes.
- Drive innovation by experimenting with emerging technologies including Generative AI, voice interfaces, and mixed reality, while factoring in responsible design practices.
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments, collaborating with designers, data scientists, strategists, and innovation experts to uncover and solve core problems.
- Conduct and support design research efforts, synthesizing findings to rapidly prototype solutions for stakeholder feedback.
- Present and defend design decisions clearly and constructively within diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute design expertise toward business development via proposals and pitches.
- Assist in the day-to-day management and execution of project plans.
- Represent The Dock as a design ambassador at community events, workshops, and conferences.

- Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and contemporary Generative AI tools.
- Exceptional communication abilities, with competence in presenting, discussing, and refining design choices collaboratively.
