Your Role
This newly established position at Stio® is designed to provide focused ownership of critical functions that have expanded in scope and regulatory complexity due to the company’s growth in product range and sustainability commitments. The Product Compliance and Sustainability Analyst is responsible for managing systems, data infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and sustainability program implementation that ensure Stio's product development operates with transparency and integrity. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the role collaborates closely with Materials, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Legal, Operations, and Brand teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PLM and related systems, serving as Centric PLM site administrator, configuring fields, views, exports, and workflows to assist the product creation team.
- Oversee governance of the Pimberly Product Information Management (PIM) system, ensuring data accuracy, field completeness, and readiness for seasonal publishing.
- Develop and maintain automated data exports for systems such as NetSuite, wholesale workbooks, and direct-to-consumer channels, ensuring consistent data mapping.
- Establish and enforce data entry standards for product teams; provide training to new team members on system protocols.
- Manage development and seasonal maintenance of Centric custom fields, sales channel logic, and coordinate with the PLM team.
- Lead regular system health checks with Centric Customer Success and direct platform roadmap and adoption strategy.
- Manage product compliance programs including care labeling, fiber content validation, country of origin documentation, and import translations.
- Maintain CPSIA documentation for youth products and collaborate with Legal for regulatory reviews.
- Administer PFAS compliance including documentation, vendor statements, historic records since 2011, and ongoing regulatory tracking.
- Collaborate with Materials Managers on CAFTA compliance.
- Monitor changes in product safety and chemical regulatory requirements at state, federal, and EU levels and communicate updates to relevant teams.
- Serve as liaison to wholesale customers regarding product compliance requirements.
- Lead execution of Stio’s EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) program, including management of F26+BOM label and carrier label requirements and overseeing international interior label accuracy across markets.
- Track EU regulations such as CSRD, ESPR, and DPP; translate them into actionable steps and coordinate with Operations and Legal on reporting deadlines and requirements.
- Manage preferred materials certification audits (RDS, RWS, GRS, GOTS), coordinate with suppliers, and track certification statuses.
- Oversee collection of RDS Transaction Certificates for down-filled styles seasonally and maintain the Stio Mass Balance Sheet.
- Execute carbon data collection for Scope 3.1 (purchased goods and materials) in partnership with Climate Impact Partners.
- Support compilation and reporting of preferred materials data to promote brand transparency.
- Manage sustainability measurement tools such as the BEE tool and Change Climate platforms.
- Lead completion of the OIA/CAC Annual Survey and facilitate cross-functional data collection.
- Coordinate sustainability committee activities and align cross-functional teams on sustainability goals.
- Possess familiarity with sustainability tools like HIGG/Worldly or Change Climate projects (B-Tools).
- Manage compliance with EPA PFAS Rule & Reporting, including data compilation, documentation of production, disposal, and hazards since 2011.
- Stay informed on California SB 253 and CSRD requirements and collaborate with Legal on reporting preparedness.
- Act as the internal contact point for regulatory questions regarding materials chemistry and environmental compliance.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Product Operations, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, product compliance, sustainability operations, or PLM administration within apparel or consumer goods sectors.
- Experienced in managing strict compliance programs including PFAS, fiber content, labeling, and certifications.
- Knowledgeable about sustainability certifications and supply chain transparency initiatives.
- Proficient project management skills handling multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Experienced PLM administrative or power-user skills; familiarity with Centric PLM is highly preferred.
- Meticulous and system-oriented with the ability to develop processes independently.

Compensation
The position offers a competitive salary package ranging from $75,000 to $89,000 annually. Hiring salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skillset, with typical hires not expected at the top of the scale.
