Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Manage complete processing of approved purchase requisitions for materials and services into purchase orders (PO) using SAP S/4HANA software.
- Ensure data accuracy on purchase requisitions and POs including validation of approvals, pricing, contract compliance, and tax regulations before issuing POs.
- Issue purchase orders punctually in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs) and prioritize business needs.
- Conduct structured expediting actions including regular follow ups with suppliers to monitor delivery commitments and manage overdue orders.
- Track supplier performance, promptly address risks and delays, escalating when such issues threaten project or operational schedules.
- Manage purchase order lifecycle thoroughly from order confirmation through delivery and final closure, maintaining detailed status and documentation.
- Confirm supplier acknowledgments, handle amendments, resolve discrepancies and ensure adherence to contract terms.
- Support onboarding and training of new procurement analysts.
- Adopt and enforce client procurement policies and procedures in all activities.
- Complete necessary approvals within established key performance indicators while maintaining high quality standards.
- Log purchase order invoice exceptions and ensure at least 90% resolution within two days.
- Operate according to designed processes and continuously contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Follow established work instructions and escalate issues promptly to S2P Operations Team Lead.
Additional Responsibilities for Human Capital Procurement
- Lead strategic sourcing activities in the Human Capital category as guided by procurement leadership, adhering strictly to procurement policies.
- Collaborate closely with HR stakeholders and business leaders to identify new opportunities in this category.
- Promote adherence to procurement policies as means to optimize purchasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Work in conjunction with legal, risk management, IT, and other procurement teams to ensure compliance and synergy.
- Compile and share human capital procurement expertise and insights across teams.
- Encourage inclusive and sustainable sourcing practices to build a better workplace.
- Conduct thorough diagnostics on external supplier spend within the assigned regions to identify strategic and tactical procurement opportunities.
- Develop and recommend options for efficient long-term procurement support and supplier spend management.
- Provide detailed reports covering function progress, challenges, and opportunities during routine meetings.
- Identify legal and contractual risks and coordinate with procurement and legal teams accordingly.
- Maintain supplier relationships according to procurement and independence policies.
- Act as a trusted procurement advisor aligning projects with organizational needs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while generating measurable value through cost savings and avoidance.
Interview and Assessment Details
The recruitment drive will be held in Bangalore at Electronic City Phase 2, Infosys Limited Building #68, Gate #2, Industrial Area, Konappana Agrahara, Bangalore 560100, near Sunik Industries and Tejas Networks, on 7th August 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates should be prepared to complete an aptitude test; carrying a simple calculator is recommended.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 to 5 years experience for the procurement analyst role involving operational purchase order management.
- For Human Capital procurement roles, 6 to 8 years of procurement experience is essential, including at least 7 years specializing in talent acquisition, recruitment agencies, contingent labor, consultancy services, and temporary labor categories.
- Educational background: Bachelor degree such as BCom, BE, or any full-time degree.
- Strong experience in end-to-end procurement processes, negotiation of supplier agreements, and managing supplier performance.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices, particularly in human capital resource categories.
