Job description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, specializing in the PLC/Automation industry. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in procurement, with proven expertise in managing purchase processes, vendor negotiations, and supplier relationship management while adhering to procurement policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify material requirements from purchase requisitions and procure project-related materials under guidance from the Project Team, ensuring alignment with client specifications.
  • Provide pricing based on established pricing procedures and issue Purchase Orders to approved suppliers according to purchasing guidelines.
  • Coordinate with suppliers by providing uniform information to obtain competitive quotations, and facilitate technical approval by the relevant initiator.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to establish delivery schedules, inspection stages, and terms of supply.
  • Oversee material receipt inspections conducted by the Quality and Project teams, verify delivery documentation, and manage communication with suppliers regarding material deliveries and potential delays.
  • Collect and distribute delivery notes to concerned parties and handle necessary import regulatory documentation.
  • Select and finalize logistics vendors after management approval, participate in meetings to support procurement standardization and cost-effective purchasing, and negotiate favorable payment terms and contract conditions maintaining integrity.
  • Compile and manage procurement documentation including supplier and logistics checklists, comparative quotations, and approval requests.
  • Liaise with Accounts to ensure timely supplier payments as per Purchase Order terms.
  • Ensure that all procurement documents such as Purchase Orders, quotations, delivery notes, handover notes, AWB, invoices, and receipts are properly archived following prescribed procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to assist in vendor development, adhere strictly to company policies, and accomplish all tasks within set deadlines.
  • Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned by department leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in procurement roles, especially within industrial or automation sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement workflows, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Experienced in managing supplier relationships and procurement documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Additional Details

Employment Location: Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position.
