Procurement Officer - Automotive

Job Overview

A subsidiary of our group is seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer specialized in the automotive sector to join our Group Procurement Department. The main objective is to support procurement activities related to automotive and auto spare parts ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in finalizing Comparison Statements (CS), recommending only technically compliant options with thorough technical-commercial evaluation reports, securing necessary approvals.
• Ensure supplier pre-assessments adhere strictly to procedures aimed at enhancing supplier selection and project performance.
• Verify the accuracy and market competitiveness of prices in automotive and auto spare parts purchases.
• Assess parts availability and analyze procurement lead times for optimal inventory management.
• Coordinate with internal departments to compile complete requirements into bidding documents, prepare and dispatch Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams and suppliers to clarify all technical, commercial, and contractual matters.
• Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers, subcontractors, and the Contracts Manager to foster smooth procurement processes.
• Review and evaluate the current sourcing strategies and department efficiency in procuring parts.
• Generate detailed reports addressing parts-related complaints, including issues like incorrect items, used parts, and quality concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in automotive spare parts procurement.
• Must be currently residing in Abu Dhabi.
