Role Overview
The Associate / Vice President position is essential to the deal team, responsible for driving transaction execution, supervising junior team members, and collaborating closely with portfolio company leadership to implement operational and strategic initiatives. This role offers substantial interaction with senior management within a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all aspects of deal execution, including due diligence, complex financial modeling, valuation assessments, and preparation of materials for investment committee review.
- Lead and guide junior team members to ensure high standards across all analyses and deliverables.
- Collaborate with management teams at portfolio companies to promote operational enhancements and growth strategies.
- Track portfolio performance and contribute to planning value creation initiatives.
- Establish and nurture relationships with intermediaries, advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in private equity; backgrounds in investment banking or management consulting are advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required; advanced degrees such as an MBA are preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and managing complex transactions.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong leadership aptitude and proven experience directing junior staff.
- High integrity, strong work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
