Position Overview
Join our real estate private equity team as an Asset Management Analyst or Senior Analyst, specializing in multifamily property portfolios. This role offers a valuable platform for advancing a career in real estate investment, providing direct interaction with senior leadership and involvement in impactful projects that influence the real estate landscape from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate property financial statements, rent rolls, and capital improvement budgets to guide performance strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to assess economic and demographic trends affecting assets.
- Lead teleconferences and onsite inspections in coordination with third-party property managers, which may include travel.
- Develop sophisticated financial models, including budgeting, forecasting cash flows, and analyzing investment returns.
- Prepare detailed investment memorandums and performance reports for internal teams.
- Coordinate due diligence and closing activities involving acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing efforts.
- Support debt financing initiatives and related documentation processes.
- Deliver quarterly asset performance presentations to broader organizational groups.
- Collaborate closely with property management to execute strategic business plans and maximize asset value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related discipline with strong academic results.
- Between one and three years of relevant experience, including internships, in real estate asset management or a similar area.
- Proficient in analyzing complex data sets and condensing them into actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Python or SQL is advantageous.
- Highly organized and detail-conscious with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
