Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Private Banker specializing in the German market to join Citi Private Bank under the Citi Global Wealth division. This full-time position is based in Frankfurt, Germany, within Citibank Europe PLC. Citi Private Bank caters to ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals — clients possessing net assets above USD 25 million — offering them bespoke private and investment banking solutions designed to meet their unique financial needs and aspirations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture profound client relationships through comprehensive understanding of their businesses and wealth sources, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Design customized solutions tailored to clients' investment, risk management, financing, and liquidity requirements.
- Set ambitious targets, monitor progress diligently, and adapt strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Support the team by mentoring colleagues to gain essential experience and credibility with clients and intermediaries.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborations with internal business partners, support functions, and staff to ensure effective controls, solutions, and issue resolution.
- Uphold integrity by clearly communicating risks associated with various investment approaches.
Knowledge and Experience
- Established track record in private banking for UHNW clients or in institutional/corporate banking focused on the German market.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring new client relationships and expanding business opportunities.
- Proven ability to build new business, prospect for clients, identify opportunities, and close deals successfully.
- Extensive experience in offering new products aligned with client needs.
- Experience collaborating effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and influencing diverse stakeholders.
Required Competencies and Skills
- Fluency in German, both written and spoken.
- Exceptional capability in building and sustaining relationships.
- Strong inclination towards business development roles.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Innovative and creative problem-solving approach.
- Adept at handling multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing effectively.
- Heightened awareness of risk management and compliance standards.
Compliance and Regulatory Information
This role is classified as a "Controlled Function" under the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and related regulations, indicating compliance with CEP-Fitness and Probity regimes.
Additional Information
The salary range for this position is between €89,500 and €275,000 annually.
