Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager / Analyst with significant expertise in MENA equities to join our Saudi & MENA Equities strategy team. This is a unique opportunity to take meaningful ownership of portfolio management, guide the strategy's development, and significantly influence our client service approach throughout the region. The role involves leadership in investment decision-making, portfolio construction, research direction, and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine investment policies and manage portfolio construction for a significant asset pool within the strategy.
• Collaborate as part of the investment team, participating actively in idea generation, investment sizing, and portfolio decisions.
• Conduct in-depth original research analyzing market trends, economic indicators, geopolitical factors, and security fundamentals to uncover opportunities and control risks.
• Prepare and deliver insightful investment reports for clients and internal teams, offering clarity on portfolio performance and strategic positioning.
• Represent Lazard in industry forums and conferences, effectively communicating our investment philosophy and viewpoints.
• Maintain end-to-end responsibility for portfolio performance, making tactical shifts to optimize returns while managing risks aligned with client goals and company standards.
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to secure new business and strengthen current client relationships.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 10 years experience in portfolio management, particularly with strategic equities solutions.
• In-depth knowledge and passion for MENA markets and the investment lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Proactive self-motivator with strong ownership mentality and results orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven client relationship management experience.
