Position Overview
This contract-based role focuses on reviewing and annotating sensitive legal documents to correctly identify Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and confidential information. The specialist will play a critical part in supporting legal investigation workflows by ensuring accurate data labeling and validation of OCR outputs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and mark up sensitive legal documents for PII and confidential content.
- Leverage expertise in contract review and eDiscovery to deliver precise and reliable annotations.
- Confirm the accuracy and integrity of data produced through OCR processes within legal investigations.
- Work alongside compliance and legal technology teams to uphold data governance and privacy standards.
- Perform quality assurance audits on sets of documents to assure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Effectively communicate results and suggestions to multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, and compliance-related workflows.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PII and data protection regulations.
- Preferred experience includes positions at firms like Consilio, Epiq, Relativity, KLDiscovery, or TransPerfect.
- Professional background such as Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Specialist, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead is essential.
- Hands-on involvement in legal document reviews, litigation support, or managed legal services.
- Demonstrated proficiency handling sensitive data in environments where accuracy and discretion are paramount.
