Overview
This role is based at HMP Bullingdon, within His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, offering a salary of £29,432. The position is essential in supporting the daily operations of a busy prison environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting various operational functions including security and conducting searches at the prison entrance.
- Managing deliveries, supervising visitors, and monitoring phone calls as well as CCTV systems.
- Performing combined desk and physical duties such as lifting, carrying, and escorting vehicles within the prison premises.
- Working varied shifts including weekends and nights to ensure smooth operations.
Candidate Profile
Applicants do not require formal educational qualifications but should demonstrate effective communication abilities, remain composed under pressure, and possess strong judgement and teamwork skills.
This role involves limited contact with inmates; however, occasional interactions may occur depending on the facility.
Additional Details
- A full UK driving licence including the D1 category is mandatory. This licence permits driving vehicles with up to 16 passenger seats, a length up to 8 metres, and towing trailers up to 750kg.
- The role is located in a potentially rural setting; candidates should consider transportation options as shift times are fixed.
