Role overview
His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service is recruiting prison officers for HMP Long Lartin. This is a demanding, fast-moving position where you’ll help protect the public while playing a meaningful role in supporting people’s rehabilitation and daily safety.
The job offers a varied day-to-day experience, with no two shifts being the same. As you gain experience, there may be opportunities to build your career, develop new capabilities, and move into specialist areas.

What the role involves
Prison officers take on a wide variety of responsibilities across the day. At different times you may be expected to act as a safety-minded presence, offer guidance and support, or help educate and influence behaviour. The role is hands-on and directly contributes to public protection.
Working pattern
You will need to work different shifts, including weekends.
