Prison Support Officer - HMP Isle of Wight

Overview

This role at HMP Isle of Wight involves providing essential operational support to ensure the smooth and secure functioning of the prison facility. As a member of the support team, you will undertake a range of duties from security checks and searches to managing visitor supervision and monitoring communication systems such as phone calls and CCTV.

Key Responsibilities

The job combines administrative tasks with physical activities including lifting, carrying, and escorting vehicles within the prison grounds. Driving is a critical component of this role, hence candidates must possess a valid UK Driving Licence. You will work across diverse shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends to maintain continuous operational support.
