Role overview
HM Prison and Probation Service is recruiting prison officers for HMP Highpoint. This is a challenging public service role focused on maintaining safety, supporting rehabilitation, and contributing to positive change in prisoners’ lives. The position offers a salary range of £35,746 to £40,003.
What the role involves
Prison officers work in a fast-moving environment where no two days are alike. The job combines custody, support, and day-to-day engagement with prisoners, with opportunities to take on different responsibilities as you gain experience. In a single shift, you may move between keeping order, offering guidance, and supporting learning or behaviour change.
