Principal Technical Lead - Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI)

About the Role

This position is a pivotal part of Cognizant's strategic partnership with a top-tier global enterprise technology company. Serving as the Principal Technical Lead, you will be the foremost authority on ITSI within the delivery team, acting as a direct client interface and significantly impacting platform results.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of resolving high-priority ITSI escalations ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
• Provide practical technical mentorship and support to Senior Engineers and Technical Leads on complex issues involving KPI failures, service health concerns, and event correlation challenges.
• Perform in-depth root cause analyses utilizing ITSI diagnostic tools, logs, and metrics to deliver practical insights and preventive measures.
• Engage directly with enterprise clients to resolve incidents and foster higher adoption of the platform.
• Lead initiatives to optimize ITSI performance, including fine-tuning KPIs, refining service modeling, and enhancing dashboard responsiveness.
• Assess product updates, patches, and improvements, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and real-world use cases.
• Develop and update technical training programs informed by product evolutions, RCA outcomes, and emerging trends in the field.
• Mentor team members and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to boost troubleshooting capabilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive knowledge in KPI architecture, service modeling, episode assessment, and event aggregation within ITSI.
• Advanced proficiency in SPL and search optimization techniques.
• Experience scripting with Python and Shell for automation tasks.
• A proven track record in technical leadership or management roles.
• Possession of Splunk Certified Admin and Splunk ITSI Certified Admin credentials (legacy certification preferred).
