About the role
Coinbase is seeking a Principal Recruiter to join its Core Recruiting team within People Success. This group supports hiring for G&A functions across the company. The role is suited to someone who thrives in a demanding, high-performance environment and is excited to help shape the future of finance.
Coinbase operates as a remote-first company, though it is not fully remote-only. Team members should expect quarterly in-person working sessions known as “surges.”
What you will do
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process for complex, senior-level searches within the Core portfolio, starting from intake and continuing through offer close.
- Create and grow strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and market/competitor research so hiring stays on track.
- Work closely with senior leaders in your client groups to turn business hiring needs into practical search plans and a strong experience for candidates and interviewers.
- Maintain high-quality recruiting data and use funnel analytics to spot bottlenecks, improve hiring efficiency, and strengthen results for stakeholders.
- Develop and roll out recruiting workflows and pilot initiatives that increase the team’s ability to support global hiring at scale.
Experience and skills needed
- At least 8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a technology company or another fast-moving, high-growth setting, including a track record of hiring senior and difficult-to-close talent.
- Proven ability to build and expand recruiting processes across multiple global markets.
- Strong understanding of the full candidate journey, from talent mapping and sourcing to interviewing and final close.
- Comfort working with recruiting metrics and turning data into clear recommendations for leaders and hiring teams.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human review, while improving workflow speed, cost efficiency, and output quality.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is USD 166,345 to USD 195,700 per year, excluding equity and bonus. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).
