Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Consultant specializing in Stakeholder Engagement and Communications to join our team in Ireland, with flexible remote work options. The successful candidate will work within a high-performing, collaborative environment emphasizing wellbeing, professional development, and flexibility. Our team has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, consultation, and communication services, primarily in major infrastructure projects during consultation and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive communication strategies and execution plans tailored to diverse audiences including digital users, media, local communities, regulatory bodies, technical teams, and elected officials.
- Create project narratives, key messaging, and communication collateral supporting project goals.
- Manage various communication channels effectively.
- Identify, map, and engage key stakeholders, establishing strategic engagement plans and delivering consultation activities such as surveys and feedback analysis.
- Plan and execute both virtual and physical events, ensuring attendee wellbeing and logistical excellence, including Q&A materials and team briefings.
- Maintain strong client relations through responsive communication and timely project reporting.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, preparing proposals, and collaborating internally to grow the service offering and team presence in Ireland.
- Oversee multiple projects, managing teams and budgets to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues with career progression and line management responsibilities.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Proven expertise delivering stakeholder engagement, consultation, and communication services across projects varying in scale, ideally including major infrastructure.
- Successful business development track record, demonstrating ability to cultivate, nurture, and convert client relationships into viable projects.
- Experience managing teams of varying sizes with a commitment to mentoring junior staff.
- Background in relevant industry sectors such as infrastructure, energy, water, transportation, residential or commercial development.
- Comfortable engaging diverse stakeholder groups with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, ambitious, able to work independently or collaboratively, and innovative in engagement approaches.
- Committed to inclusivity, cultural awareness, and ensuring accessibility to facilitate meaningful public influence on projects.
- Flexibility in work and willingness to travel as project demands require.
- Holds a degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, history, politics, geography, languages, law, business, or equivalent professional experience.
