Role Overview
The Pricing Specialist role supports strategic pricing efforts in Orthopedics by driving value-based pricing to maximize the impact of innovation. This position is full-time, based in Dubai, UAE or Riyadh/Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and centers on managing pricing strategies, tender activities, analytics, and governance compliance aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage proactively with business teams to guide strategic pricing aligned with value maximization and innovation.
- Assist Pricing Lead with complex pricing analyses to monitor trends, identify profitability issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure accurate tender quotation pricing and code configuration.
- Analyze tender pricing results, conduct win/loss reviews and pricing simulations to strengthen tender success rates.
- Adhere to local and EMEA pricing governance policies and ensure accurate, timely monthly pricing reports and business reviews.
- Support product mix optimization initiatives to enhance profitability.
- Manage price escalations with detailed analytical support.
- Provide pricing simulations during product line updates for margin optimization.
- Deliver pricing training to sales and marketing teams to enhance pricing decision capabilities and market positioning.
- Continuously refine pricing reporting and analytics dashboards.
- Maintain accurate product databases and price lists in line with regulatory guidance.
- Facilitate timely price approvals ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Lead or assist in key pricing and tender-related projects.
- Keep pricing SOPs updated and maintain adherence to SOX-compliant pricing controls.
- Uphold all applicable regulatory requirements, reporting any deviations appropriately.
- Complete mandatory training to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Three to five years of experience in pricing or tender management within the region.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Experienced in Power BI report development; SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical aptitude, understanding of pricing and commercial strategies, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated business acumen with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders using data-driven insights.
- Fluent English required; Arabic and French preferred.
- Ability to solve problems, operate proactively, and maintain a results-driven approach with urgency.

Additional Information
Johnson & Johnson plans to spin off its Orthopaedics business as DePuy Synthes within 18 to 24 months, pending regulatory and employee consultations. Employees accepting roles will transition to DePuy Synthes with governance by its employment policies and benefits post-separation.
