Role Overview

As a Price and Promotion Manager for our Mars Pet Nutrition division based in Auckland, you will play a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategies to enable profitable growth. You will focus on pricing, trade promotional budgeting, and portfolio performance to enhance consumer and customer wins.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop trade promotional investment budgets aligned to the growth strategy.
• Assist in managing the Local Market Pricing Council by coordinating fact-based pricing recommendations that align with overall business objectives.
• Support the deployment, planning, and oversight of pricing strategies across brand portfolios.
• Drive portfolio product mix optimization known as ‘Mix for Growth’ by integrating consumer insights, customer/channel data, and financial metrics to set annual mix targets.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree-level education with strong analytical and commercial background; experience in FMCG or consumer goods is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy development, analysis, and implementation in-market.
• Sound commercial acumen with strong financial and P&L understanding to spot growth and efficiency opportunities.
• Strategic thinker able to translate insights into actionable strategies and communicate clearly with senior leadership.
• Collaborative influencer with a proactive attitude, adept at cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement to foster continuous improvement.
