The company operates globally, partnering with many leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Role Overview
The position of President & General Manager Americas involves leading the North American operations through its upcoming growth phase. Reporting directly to the Group CEO and being a member of the Executive Board, the selected leader will have full legal accountability for the company’s U.S. and Mexico entities. This executive role requires aligning regional priorities with the overarching global strategy, combining commercial growth ambitions with operational discipline within a lean, matrix-structured organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive leadership for all North American operations, ensuring rigorous governance and strong business results that are in line with global goals.
- Develop and implement the regional strategy in close collaboration with global Business Units, focusing on expanding market presence and diversifying the customer base.
- Translate strategic objectives into concrete execution plans and measurable outcomes across the region.
- Act as the senior liaison for critical customers, suppliers, and partners by cultivating executive-level relationships and managing important escalations when necessary.
- Guide and unify the regional leadership team to foster a culture centered on accountability, ownership, and customer-focused solutions.
- Effectively coordinate operations between the U.S. legal entity and manufacturing facilities in Mexico, ensuring smooth collaboration in a matrix organizational framework.
- Oversee supporting departments such as Finance and Human Resources while ensuring efficient, lean decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications
- Over 15 years of progressive leadership roles in general management, operations, or business unit leadership, including direct responsibility for profit and loss and business performance.
- Proven experience in industrial and/or automotive sectors, preferably with knowledge of electric drive systems, mechatronics, or related component technologies.
- Strong record of commercial leadership, particularly in sales development, deal structuring, and market expansion.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in leading within global or matrix organizations by influencing and aligning diverse stakeholders without formal authority.
- Experience working with Mexican operations and a thorough understanding of the cultural, regulatory, and managerial differences between Mexico and the U.S. is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated capability in business turnaround or transformation efforts, combining strategic insight with pragmatic, hands-on execution.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline is mandatory; advanced degrees such as an MBA are preferred.
