President – ASEAN

About the Role

This executive position oversees the expansion and development of Honeywell's diverse business units across the ASEAN region, which includes Industrial Automation, Process Automation, Building Automation, and Process Technology. The role involves collaboration with regional and global business leaders, C-level clients, suppliers, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive year-on-year growth for Honeywell in the ASEAN region by working closely with leaders of the four main businesses to formulate and execute strategic plans.
• Focus on strategic pursuits, especially high-value or strategically significant projects such as digital and connected enterprise deals.
• Manage and expand business relationships with key strategic accounts, serving as the singular Honeywell representative at the country level.
• Establish and maintain relationships with C-suite executives within client organizations.
• Develop regional talent and establish succession plans by partnering with business functions to build and retain a strong, inclusive leadership team.
• Oversee mergers and acquisitions, ensuring successful integration and synergy realization.
• Act as Honeywell’s senior ambassador in the region, enhancing corporate reputation and positioning the brand as a preferred supplier and employer.
• Represent Honeywell internally to senior management to secure investments for regional growth.
• Lead team-building efforts and promote best practices and company vision throughout the organization.

Functional Experience

• Strategic Insight: Ability to evaluate market opportunities and direct investments and commercial growth based on comprehensive market understanding within ASEAN cultures and global business perspectives.
• Operational Expertise: Skill in developing platforms for organic growth, M&A, customer relations, product innovation, and pricing strategies. The role is hands-on with regular business reviews and active in strategy execution.
• Organizational Leadership: Proficiency in building strong, cohesive leadership teams with a focus on talent development, succession planning, and fostering a culture of collaboration and integrity.
• Capability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a matrixed international environment with a clear focus on priorities and balance between short and long-term goals.
• Proven ability to build influential relationships internally with senior Honeywell leaders and externally with C-level customers, governments, and agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• Over 20 years of leadership experience concentrating on strategy deployment, operations, business management, or program management within related business sectors.
• Willingness to travel extensively—30% to 50%—across ASEAN countries.
