Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Preschool Director to lead and inspire a team of childcare professionals. This leadership position offers the opportunity to guide a vibrant preschool towards exceptional educational standards and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a safe, joyful preschool setting that promotes children's growth and curiosity.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of a top-tier curriculum that surpasses national and state benchmarks.
- Develop strong, transparent relationships with parents, staff, and children to cultivate a close-knit community.
- Manage and mentor a team of 20 to 40 educators through training, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
- Achieve financial objectives and enrollment targets while prioritizing quality care.
- Represent the school in marketing initiatives and community outreach to enhance its reputation.
- Ensure strict compliance with licensing, safety, sanitation regulations, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Oversee recruitment and hiring of qualified staff to maintain a high-performing team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in early childhood education settings with multiple classrooms and programs.
- Compliance with state licensing requirements at the director level, including passing criminal background checks and fingerprinting.
- Education credentials meeting one of the following sets:
- Bachelor's degree plus at least 1 year supervisory experience and 6+ months in group childcare, or
- Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education plus 1+ year supervisory experience and 2+ years in group childcare, or
- Associate’s degree or equivalent plus 1+ year supervisory experience and 2+ years in group childcare.
- Comprehensive knowledge of national/state education standards, regulatory requirements including licensing, fire safety, health and OSHA standards.
- Familiarity with USDA Nutritional Standards applicable to schools.
- Candidate must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and maintain a driver record meeting company criteria.
- Availability to travel and work occasional nights or weekends as necessary.

- Deliver and oversee excellence in curriculum and educational outcomes within a nurturing environment.
- Exemplify professionalism and motivate a team of educators through effective communication, appraisals, and recruitment.
- Manage budgetary and enrollment goals with skillful balance of profitability and care quality, engaging parents and partners.
- Maintain full adherence to compliance and safety across all operations.
