Role Overview
This position is a hybrid opportunity based in Orange County, CA, focusing on leading and streamlining the recruitment process for large-scale school staffing needs such as special education instructional aides, general education aides, nutrition assistants, and before/after school personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruiting cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring for high-volume education staff positions.
- Innovate sourcing methods to decrease dependency on traditional job boards while expanding direct sourcing avenues, improving candidate conversion rates and quality within constrained pay environments.
- Optimize current tools and workflows like AI screening (using Classet) and Zoom-based interviews, refining processes and decision-making frameworks tied to them.
- Guide and build the recruiting team by coaching important skills, ensuring consistency, quality, and aiding scalability.
- Oversee operational aspects of staffing services, including scheduling, training, and managing service delivery procedures.
- Develop and refine operational systems such as SOPs, key performance metrics, and regular meeting cadences to enhance throughput, quality, and employee retention.
- Lead selection and implementation of new staffing technologies, including evaluation, rollout, adoption, and related change management efforts.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership and board members to professionalize and scale the growing business.
- Design future organizational structures, with a focus on a clearer split between desk roles and full-desk responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven leadership experience in staffing with strong expertise in recruiting operations and service delivery, preferably with exposure to education staffing.
- Successful history of building, fixing, or expanding recruiting teams and processes amidst significant change.
- Expertise in process creation and implementation, including SOP development, funnel metric analysis, quality control, and operational cadence management.
- Comfort with hands-on involvement in early-stage operations while planning for scalable growth.
- Exceptional ability to manage stakeholders across founders, operations teams, and boards.
- Demonstrated agility, accountability, and endurance in dynamic 'build-mode' business environments.
- Commitment to onsite presence in Orange County at least two days weekly, preferably more.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary up to $150,000 annually, plus a potential bonus of up to 20%, contingent on company and departmental performance targets; compensation plan expected to evolve as the staffing organization matures.
- Autonomy and significant impact opportunity to architect the staffing and recruitment function from the ground up, including processes, organizational design, and technology.
- Strong growth prospects as the business plans substantial expansion and operational transformation in the upcoming year.
- Direct engagement and visibility with senior leadership and board of directors.
- Opportunities to develop skills further, including potential involvement in licensed or clinical staffing as regulations permit.
