Portfolio Management Analyst - Impact Investing

Role Overview

KKR is hiring a Portfolio Management Analyst to join its Global Impact private equity portfolio team in London. Created in 2023, the portfolio function works closely with the deal team and is involved in day-to-day portfolio analysis and transaction-related work across portfolio companies. As assets under management continue to grow, the firm is expanding this group to strengthen trading performance oversight and portfolio monitoring for the Global Impact strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor portfolio company performance across the full investment lifecycle and turn KPI and financial trends into clear insights for internal and external audiences.
• Keep regular communication with portfolio company leaders and KKR executives on performance, KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic priorities.
• Build and update monthly and quarterly valuation materials, including the models, assumptions, and supporting documentation, in coordination with deal teams.
• Develop quarterly review materials for internal portfolio management committees, carry out deeper analysis on important themes and value-creation initiatives, and help coordinate the committee process.
• Assist with exit preparation and execution, including sales, IPOs, and secondary transactions, by supporting analysis and managing coordination with management and advisors.
• Carry out portfolio-wide analysis and benchmarking on leverage, liquidity, returns, and scenarios to inform capital allocation and value creation decisions.
• Support recapitalizations, refinancing activity, and follow-on investments.
• Work with Investor Relations, Macro, Data, and ESG teams to prepare quarterly reporting, investor presentations, and ad hoc analyses.

Required Profile

• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in private equity portfolio management or a similar field such as investment banking, asset management, consulting, transaction services, or restructuring.
• Strong financial and technical understanding, with the ability to quickly interpret and assess financial reporting.
• Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with deal teams, portfolio company management, and other internal stakeholders.
• Skilled at constructing and interpreting complex financial models.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to internal and external audiences.
• Good project management ability, with experience handling multi-stakeholder processes across different geographies.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver a broad range of tasks under competing deadlines.
