About the Role
Bon Appétit Management Company is actively hiring full-time Porter staff at their Seattle location, specifically at Expedia - 1111 Expedia Group Way, Seattle, WA 98119. Candidates must apply online only. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with further details provided during the interview process.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of front of house areas including tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations.
- Ensure timely bussing, clearing, and cleaning of tables and floors during busy periods and prep prior to service hours.
- Adhere to safety procedures while transporting dishes and utensils from front of house to kitchen using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
- Wash dishes, glasses, and pots; clean cooking stations and equipment to ensure smooth service flow and uphold sanitation standards.
- Scrape and rinse food remnants from dishes; wash them by hand or operate dishwashing equipment depending on assignment, ensuring complete cleanliness.
- Keep display equipment clean, free from debris, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
- Assist with receiving heavy deliveries from the dock and transferring them to storage areas, following safe lifting protocols.
- Maintain proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures while following HACCP standards.
- Commit personally to safety, including wearing medium weight cut gloves when handling sharp tools, oven mitts or gloves for hot items, slip-resistant shoes, and practicing proper lifting techniques.
- Follow all company policies and guidelines.
Requirements
- Prior safe product or food handling experience is mandatory.
- Must possess a valid Food Handler's card.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.
