Job Overview

This full-time role involves performing all dishwashing tasks along with ensuring the overall cleanliness of the kitchen space. Team members are expected to provide courteous and efficient service, maintain a positive company image, and adhere to store procedures and health regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small kitchen tools.
• Maintain sanitation of kitchen floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelving areas.
• Assist with kitchen deliveries by properly storing, organizing, and rotating items.
• Arrive on time dressed appropriately for all shifts; attend required meetings and training.
• Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly and courteously, including answering phones and using suggestive selling techniques.
• Optimize sales potential through effective product preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow all safety, health, weight, sanitation, and work practice protocols.
• Ensure a clean and safe work and shopping environment, maintaining equipment according to standards.
• Perform assigned opening, mid, and closing duties, ensuring accuracy of signage and reporting safety hazards immediately.
• Undertake other duties as directed by store or regional leadership.

Experience

No prior retail experience required.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Standing or walking for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour shift.
• Use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
• Working in varying temperature conditions, including freezing (<32°F), refrigerators (32-40°F), and hot (>90°F).
• Capability to work in both wet and dry conditions.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Use of equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, ladders, and other machinery.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges between $15.00 and $24.40 depending on experience. Employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package called "Whole Benefits," which includes store discounts, paid time off, financial wellness, health support, and other perks. Eligibility varies by location, tenure, and job type. Successful completion of the first 90 days may qualify new employees for a base pay increase.
