  • Develop influential narratives, articulate campaign messaging, prepare speeches, craft press releases, and author policy briefs and op-eds.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with print, television, digital media teams, and journalists.
  • Lead multichannel communication campaigns, integrating print, broadcast, online, and social media platforms.
  • Proactively foresee potential crisis scenarios and devise comprehensive response and contingency plans.
  • Direct rapid communication responses during crises, such as political controversies or misinformation events, in close cooperation with legal, policy, and leadership teams.
  • Monitor news coverage, media narratives, and prevailing public opinion to identify and address emerging trends and risks.
  • Liaise cross-functionally with research, analytics, digital, and campaign teams to enable data-driven communications planning.
  • Oversee the training and preparation of spokespersons, including orchestrating interviews and public engagements.

Crisis Management Focus

  • Build crisis communication frameworks that anticipate and address risks to organizational reputation.
  • Lead the creation of essential documents—crisis statements, FAQs, and holding statements.
  • Coordinate crisis responses in collaboration with various internal teams, including during social media escalations, and conduct post-crisis reviews for continual improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3-8 years of professional experience in political communications, public affairs, or a related discipline.
  • Strong grounding in political strategy, public relations, media management, and strategic messaging.

  • Superior speechwriting, persuasive content creation, and storytelling skills.
  • Deep knowledge of political trends, current issues, and public policy environments.
  • Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to execute under pressure and make timely, strategic decisions.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office suite, social media management tools, and digital communication platforms.

Preferred Background

  • Experience working directly with senior politicians, government officials, or media executives.
  • Track record of overseeing significant media events, reputation management, or handling emergencies in a political context.
