Job Overview
The role involves planning, supervising, and delivering high-quality physiotherapy services at patients' homes. It aims to maximize patients' functional independence through thorough assessments, personalized treatment planning, implementation, evaluation, and effective communication with the healthcare team via documentation and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain comprehensive information about patients' current issues.
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities accurately.
- Design and implement tailored treatment plans.
- Regularly assess treatment outcomes and effectiveness.
- Ensure safe and efficient discharge planning.
- Engage in continuous professional education to maintain and upgrade skills.
- Comply with departmental policies and participate actively in organizational meetings and team activities.
- Organize and conduct training sessions for staff, assistants, volunteers, and supervise physiotherapy students, providing consistent feedback and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and data management in accordance with policies, including timely clinical note documentation and entry into Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Communicate patient progress with consultants as needed.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, infection control policies, and emergency procedures, including participation in related training such as fire safety, CPR, and pool rescue.
- Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of physiotherapy equipment.
- Promote a safe working environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
- Participate in supervision sessions and perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Institute of Neurosciences Chairman.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum qualification required is a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in any specialization.
