Role overview
Horizons Cork is looking for an energetic and motivated Basic Grade Physiotherapist to become part of its Adult Services multidisciplinary team on a permanent full-time basis. The post is set at 35 hours per week.
This opportunity sits within a well-established, forward-thinking, and encouraging interdisciplinary service that delivers evidence-led physiotherapy and broader supports to help people work toward their goals and live as independently as possible.
The salary will follow the HSE consolidated pay scales and is linked to the physiotherapist scale, effective 01/06/2026. Applicants will be considered on the information included in their application, and shortlisting may be carried out on that basis.
What the role involves
The appointed physiotherapist will provide physiotherapy input to people using Horizons services. The position is broad and varied, offering exposure to several different practice areas.
- Provide physiotherapy interventions that are grounded in evidence and adapted to each person’s needs.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the interdisciplinary team.
- Help individuals improve mobility, increase independence, and support overall wellbeing.
- Take part in service development and ongoing quality improvement work.
Clinical exposure
The caseload may include experience in the following areas:
- Musculoskeletal conditions.
- Hydrotherapy.
- Respiratory care.
- Neurological rehabilitation.

Requirements
- CORU registration, registration underway, or final-year student status that makes the applicant eligible for CORU registration at the time of interview.
- A full driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- If applicable, current permission to work and live in Ireland.
Preferred experience
- Previous work in disability services would be an advantage.
