Role Overview
Join our team as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative focusing on Primary Care and Specialty segments. This role serves as the primary contact for managing account activities within assigned physician accounts. The main goal is to generate and sustain profitable business by establishing strong professional relationships rooted in excellent service, thorough product expertise, integrity, and trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales and promotional efforts of pharmaceutical and healthcare products within the designated local territory.
- Enhance product awareness among physicians and support patient engagement with the product portfolio.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with general practices, hospitals, and specialty clinics to secure long-term professional alliances and facilitate future product introductions.
- Devise and implement targeted strategies, marketing initiatives, and sales programs tailored to the territory.
- Efficiently plan sales calls maximizing time and economic resources to meet performance objectives in each account.
- Stay informed about products, market dynamics, regulatory developments, competitor activities, and customer needs, providing timely updates to management.
- Complete all pharmaceutical sales training and maintain Continuing Medical Education (CME) to stay knowledgeable about innovative products for effective physician detailing.
- Analyze contract product performance within accounts, monitoring metrics like contract execution, value, volume growth, and market share; take appropriate actions to enhance results.
- Collaborate closely with the broader Pharmaceutical Sales Representative team to ensure cross-functional support and communication, driving effective pull-through strategies.
- Adhere meticulously to all regulatory and compliance standards related to pharmaceutical sales and company policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven sales skills complemented by interpersonal abilities and experience in account management or sales.
- Must hold a valid driver's license as the role is field-based.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to differentiate and position oneself effectively in the competitive market.
- Strong organizational capabilities, excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and ambition to succeed.
