Job description
Role overview
An established family office and business office in West End, London is looking for a Personal Assistant / Business Support Assistant to join a compact, high-performing team. The position supports both the private affairs of a high-net-worth family and the day-to-day needs of a small business office, working alongside an experienced Private PA who has served the family for many years.
This is a broad, hands-on position with plenty of variety, suited to a smart graduate-level candidate with around 1–2 years of experience who wants to grow their career in a trusted, fast-moving, high-quality environment.
What the role involves
You will work closely with the Private PA and the wider London team to provide support across both family and business priorities. The work changes from day to day and may include international travel planning and presentation preparation one day, then family projects, supplier liaison, or personal administration the next.
- Managing diaries and arranging meetings
- Organising travel and creating itineraries
- Preparing presentations, reports, and other documents
- Providing administrative support to the business office
- Helping the Private PA with family-related administration and projects
- Dealing with suppliers, service providers, and external contacts
- Handling correspondence and general coordination duties
- Supporting with ad hoc business and personal tasks
What they're looking for
The ideal candidate will have graduate-level ability and roughly 1–2 years of experience in administration, PA support, or team coordination. You should be proactive, quick to learn, highly organised, and careful with detail.
Strong communication skills are important, along with a professional, discreet, and dependable approach. The role requires someone who is comfortable supporting both business and personal matters and who has strong Microsoft Office capability, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. The employer is looking for someone interested in building a long-term career in business support, private office, or family office settings.
Working environment
The role sits within a collaborative and supportive environment where the work is varied and no two days are the same. You will gain exposure to both family office and business office operations and work closely with a highly experienced Private PA.
The position is based in London and will usually involve office attendance around 2–3 days per week, with extra presence required when business needs call for it. At times, support may also be needed from the family’s private residence in the West End, especially when the family is in the UK.
Flexibility is essential, as the balance between private and business support will shift depending on priorities.
Package and contract details
Salary is £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience. The appointment is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right person. The role offers valuable exposure to both business and family office work, mentorship from an experienced and respected Private PA, and a varied position with meaningful room to develop.
Additional notes
This opportunity is designed for an ambitious, capable, and adaptable individual who wants to accelerate their career in a distinctive and well-regarded environment.
