Overview
Burton and South Derbyshire College is expanding its People & Performance team by recruiting two People Business Partners, each specializing in distinct areas: one focusing on Recruitment, Employee Relations & Organisational Change, and the other specializing in Performance, Wellbeing & Development. These permanent full-time positions offer a salary of A335,514 annually and participation in the Local Government Pension Scheme. Role Responsibilities
As a trusted People Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with managers in curriculum and professional services, offering expert advice, coaching, and constructive feedback on varied people-related issues. You'll assist in managing employee relations and organizational challenges, ensuring fair, consistent decisions aligned with employment law and organizational policies. Using workforce data and insights, you will identify trends, recommend improvements, and support People & Performance goals.
Recruitment, Employee Relations & Organisational Change Specialist
You will act as the Colleges expert in these areas, driving effective recruitment processes, workforce planning, organizational change initiatives, and managing complex employee relations cases. You will also enhance recruitment practices, oversee consultation and change management, handle employee relations fairly, and provide managers with practical guidance and training.
Performance, Wellbeing & Development Specialist
In this role, you will provide expert support in attendance, capability management, learning and development, talent management, and management development. Your efforts will empower managers, improve employee experience, and foster a positive organizational culture.
Candidate Profile
Candidates should be experienced HR professionals holding at least a CIPD Level 5 qualification, with strong knowledge of UK employment law and demonstrable experience advising and coaching managers on complex people matters. Confidence in handling sensitive issues, building trusted relationships, and providing balanced pragmatic advice is essential. Competency in analyzing data to detect trends and propose improvements is also required.
