Role Overview
The company seeks a People Business Partner Lead to support leaders and employees across Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ). This role blends strategic HR partnership, regional compliance governance, and people operation management to ensure scalable people practices aligned with global strategies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with APJ leadership to enhance organizational health and performance through thoughtful people strategies.
- Advise on team structuring, talent development, and performance management efforts.
- Manage complex employee relations scenarios and support evolving organizational changes.
- Serve as the primary contact for regional employment compliance and practices.
- Work closely with Legal and external experts to maintain adherence to local laws and regulations.
- Adapt global HR programs to suit local regulatory environments while ensuring consistency.
- Monitor and report on regulatory changes affecting the APJ markets.
- Oversee key people operational processes including performance cycles and compensation programs within the region.
- Identify and implement improvements in regional HR operations to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships, documentation, and employment processes applicable locally.
- Act as the regional liaison to global People teams, integrating APJ insights into company-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Legal, Finance, and leadership teams to support regional and global alignment.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in HR business partnering or regional HR leadership in APJ.
- In-depth understanding of employment laws and compliance across APJ countries.
- Ability to balance strategic advisory with practical operational execution.
- Background in working within global, distributed organizations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships across diverse cultures.
- Flexible and pragmatic approach to managing multiple priorities within an evolving regional landscape.
- Experience in developing regional HR structures and processes.
