Job Overview
Our client, a reputable and expanding organisation, is looking to hire an experienced Payroll Executive to join their active payroll department. This role suits payroll professionals eager to advance their careers in a dynamic and cooperative setting. The ideal applicant will possess solid payroll processing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a professional, client-centered approach.
Key Duties
- Administer multiple payroll client accounts with varying pay schedules.
- Process and reconcile payroll data, and prepare payroll reports for clients and involved third parties.
- Ensure adherence to statutory payroll obligations such as PAYE, PRSI, and USC.
- Compile and submit reports related to payroll, including pension and general ledger details.
- Handle accurate and punctual payroll submissions, reconciliations, and payments using Revenue Online Services (ROS).
- Prepare and file returns for the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
- Serve as the main liaison for client payroll inquiries, maintaining high-quality customer service.
- Provide assistance to team members with payroll reviews, backup processing, and other operational tasks.
- Support internal payroll reporting, monthly performance metrics, and audits.
- Identify opportunities and contribute to improvements in payroll processes, controls, and efficiencies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with data protection, auditing, and risk management standards.
- Participate in additional payroll and departmental projects as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least three years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a bureau or shared services environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation and practices, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC.
- IPASS or a related accounting qualification is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll software; experience with Megapay and Sage is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong organisational abilities and a sharp eye for detail.
- Capability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills facilitating teamwork and collaboration.
